Alan’s love of the Northumbrian countryside and its communities completely informs his photography. His years of walking, camping and countryside pursuits mean that he is exceptionally knowledgeable about Northumberland’s wild locations and can capture the mood of a landscape like no one else. AfW Images is our preferred partner for any outdoor photography and videography and works tirelessly to build portfolios of beautiful and eloquent images for any outdoor event. Alan’s lovely images of vintage cars, bikes and scooters can be seen at the Newbiggin Easter event in our portfolio.

The collaboration between Happening up North and Blue Tongue designs is absolutely essential to most successful projects. Anna’s vision and creativity have become part of the event design, imagining and planning process on a variety of our projects and our clients have loved the results.

Dave’s advice and help in building not just our website but in developing our on-line ticketing service and social media strategy has been absolutely invaluable. He has developed sites for our clients and helps us run micro sites for our public events.

Jeff has worked very effectively with us on a number of architectural, interiors and portrait projects for clients. He is skilled at putting his subjects at their ease and in the use of a telling detail. Jeff has particular skill in helping clients develop images optimised for social media. Some of Jeff’s photographs can be seen in the Quince Cottage section of our portfolio.

The team at Lindy Jazz bring enthusiasm, energy and fun to everything they do. Dancers, musicians, DJs, teachers, ball directors they have a crowd’s toes tapping and hips swinging everywhere they go and we love working with them to make sure our clients’ events go with a swing. You can see their work at the Newbiggin Easter event in our portfolio.

Jason and his team at Safe Sure are our go to health and safety consultants. They risk assess all our projects working with us and our clients to ensure that projects are safe, fully insured and supported with first aid professionals. Where complex traffic and road closure arrangements are required for an event, Safe Sure’s experience in working with councils and the emergency services ensures our client’s plans are fully compliant with all statutory requirements and meet best practice standards.

Amber and her team have a truly impressive network of contacts throughout the vintage supply industry and we have worked with them a number of times now to bring a vintage wedding theme to clients’ wider events. Always energetic, always enthusiastic, solution focussed and highly organised: Happening up North is delighted to work with them on projects that benefit from some sophisticated romance.

Chris Cann is our favourite floral designer. She and her team create wonderful displays for weddings, corporate events, launches, fairs, dances and offices plus they can bring delightful, informative and fascinating workshops and demonstrations to our client’s events. You can see some of her work in the Vintage Rothbury section of our portfolio page.

Wilkins Fine Dining is our first port of call whenever we need caterers. Neil and Mary have years of experience working in smart hotels such as the Ritz and the Savoy and with celebrity chefs such as Jean Christophe Novelli. Now they have brought all that back to their native North East where they are either cook for or with our clients depending on the nature of the event.

Happening up North’s Director, Kate, is a founding member of this business network that brings together women working in about 30 different business sectors. This gives our clients and their events access to a wide selection of companies who are experienced and successful in working together collaboratively.
